The Veterans Memorial Scout Camp is a camping and recreation area that has been set aside for ongoing use by Wisconsin scout groups. This camp provides the opportunity to craft premier outdoor experiences for groups by use of its location, amenities, and natural environment.
This space is available for camping to the general public by purchasing a County Forest Camping Permit. Users are a 1/4 mile walk away from a day-use area, playground, shelter, dumpsters, and fishing pier located at the Mead Lake Dam. Users are also only 3 miles away from Mead Lake Campground which features modern amenities such as firewood, ice, drinking water, showers, beach, a boat landing, and more.
